Production Records by Amsteel Mills Klang
It was a great start to 2008 for Amsteel Mills Sdn Bhd in Klang when its production hit a record high of 78,903 MT in the month of January. The company has been on its production record-breaking stint since the beginning of its 2007/2008 financial year:

July 2007 - 67,389 MT
September 2007 - 69,008 MT
November 2007 - 72,113 MT
December 2007 - 73,642 MT
January 2008 - 78,903 mt
Its rolling mills too have shown quantum leap improvement in the production of wire rods and steel bars. The Rod Mill and Bar Mill 2 have set new records of 38,324 MT of wire rods and 34,558 MT of steel bars respectively for the month of December 2007 while Bar Mill 1 has improved its productivity by 25% from an average production of 15,000 MT/month to 20,000 MT/month between July 2007 and Jan 2008.
